Dermatology-specialist GPs
Private acne and blemish skin treatment and management
Some patients may experience acne in their teens, during hormonal changes such as pregnancy, perimenopause or the menopause. You may be the parent of someone who has or has had acne. Either way, acne isn’t something you have to put up with, cover up or wait to ‘grow out of’. No matter your age or stage of life, we don’t see acne as a rite of passage or ‘phase’.
Acne treatment clinic & blemish removal
The type of acne you have or have had determines the best course of treatment and management. In some cases, topical creams will be the most effective option, but when medication is appropriate we will not hesitate to prescribe it to suitable patients.
For acne scarring or blemish removal, our team of GPs who specialise in dermatology will discuss methods of removal, expected outcomes and will provide you with a clear cost for the procedure, alongside any aftercare or follow-up treatment or management that may be required.
Our Specialisms
How it works
From the moment you book your appointment to post-treatment care, we’re here to support you.
- Place booking
Book your appointment online, with no need for a referral. Payment is arranged at the point of booking, and you’ll be asked to complete a pre-consultation questionnaire. - Consultation
Your appointment will give you the time you need to discuss your problem. Our specialists will make sure you are truly heard, then answer your questions with understanding, offering impartial advice. Before moving forward, you’ll feel equipped to make an informed choice. - Treatment plan
We don’t offer ‘off-the-shelf’ packages. Instead, we build treatment plans based on you as an individual, around your conditions and medical history. We will explore all available care pathways, taking into account any anxieties and respecting your decisions. - Check in
We appreciate that discussing acne and other dermatology symptoms and treatments can be uncomfortable for some people, and that you may feel anxious about your appointment. But as soon as you check in for your appointment, our relaxed atmosphere – with welcoming surroundings and friendly staff – will soon put you at ease.
What our patients think
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to have a pre-op consultation?
Yes, all patients require a pre-op consultation prior to any surgical treatment. During this appointment, you’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions, and the doctor will discuss the procedure and outcomes, while also providing an exact costing. The GP may provide different options for surgical treatments, these tend to have different outcomes. You are advised to take your time to consider the available options and best outcomes for you.
Can I claim for my appointment on insurance?
You need to speak to your insurer prior to your appointment. Some insurers will reimburse you for the appointment, but you will need to present any documentation at the time of your appointment for the doctor to sign. Please note that all our doctors are registered with the GMC on the GP register not the consultant register. Please ensure you make this clear to your insurers at the outset.
Do you treat children under the age of 18?
Yes, we can treat under 18s at both our clinics. However, for more invasive procedures or those requiring a certain level of pain tolerance, such as verruca freezing, we would recommend only over 10s.
