A different approach
We believe that women should have easy access to expert healthcare, and be able to make informed choices. Nobody should be suffering from pain, discomfort or embarrassment. Our private clinics are led by GPs who specialise in primary care gynaecology and female contraception, and who appreciate the significance of your experiences.
From preventative care to examinations, treatments and second opinions, everything we do is based around you as an individual. Our personalised appointments give you the time to talk through your concerns and ask all your questions, which we’ll answer with expertise and understanding. Then, we can give you all the information you need to make the best decisions for you.
We accept NHS GP referrals, or you can even refer yourself. And because we have greater flexibility with appointments, we can offer shorter wait times and dates that fit in with your schedule or cycle. Then, we’ll discuss the best care pathways for you, whether it’s referral back to the NHS for treatment, or connecting you with a private specialist consultant.
There’s nothing you can’t talk to us about, and you will always be taken seriously.
Our Specialisms
How it works
From the moment you book your appointment to post-treatment care, we’re here to support you.
- Place booking
Book your appointment online, with no need for a referral. Payment is arranged at the point of booking, and you’ll be asked to complete a pre-consultation questionnaire. - Consultation
Your appointment will give you the time you need to discuss your problem. Our specialists will make sure you are truly heard, then answer your questions with understanding, offering impartial advice. Before moving forward, you’ll feel equipped to make an informed decision. - Treatment plan
We don’t offer ‘off-the-shelf’ packages. Instead, we build treatment plans based on you as an individual, around your conditions and medical history. We will explore all available care pathways, taking into account any anxieties and respecting your decisions. - Check in
We appreciate that discussing symptoms can be uncomfortable for some people, and that you may feel anxious about your appointment. But as soon as you check in for your appointment, our relaxed atmosphere – with welcoming surroundings and friendly staff – will soon put you at ease.
What our patients think
Frequently asked questions
What pain relief do you offer during coil fits?
Our doctors are very experienced and many patients find that feeling confident and safe engenders a relaxed atmosphere where they do not feel like they need or want pain relief. However, we also very much respect patient choice. We recognise coil fits can be painful, and affect different women differently. We offer codeine, Entonox (nitrous oxide) and local anaesthetic (cervical block). If you are interested in pain relief options you can discuss this with your doctor prior to the procedure.
What is Entonox?
Entonox is also known as Nitrous Oxide or ‘gas and air’. It is used in many medical settings as a reliable and fast impacting pain relief. Some women will be familiar with Entonox from childbirth. Entonox is most effective after 2 minutes’ use. The effects wear off very quickly so is ideal for short procedures. You can drive 30 minutes after taking Entonox. Please note Entonox is currently only available in our Oxford clinic.
Do you treat nervous patients?
Yes. We have the luxury of time to ensure our patients are fully informed and feel confident in the treatment they are receiving or any procedures. Our doctors are highly trained specialists in women’s health and procedures. For coil/implants, we can discuss pain relief options and assist in mitigating any fears or concerns.
How much do private prescriptions cost?
All NHS prescriptions are a set fee regardless of the cost of the drug. However, private prescriptions will be charged by the pharmacy for the individual drugs. The cost is roughly £20 for most HRT drugs, and £25 for Testosterone. A course of antibiotics can range from £5-20 per prescription. Your NHS GP may be able to prescribe HRT drugs, but this is at their discretion.
